David Aitken

David Aitken has worked in the property development and housebuilding industry for 36 years. David brings to theTownside Real Estate team extensive knowledge and experience of land acquisitions, planning, technical and development expertise and construction.

 

David has held a number of senior roles as Commercial Technical Manager at Alfred McAlpine Homes and Admiral Homes where he worked in the Construction and Commercial departments.

 

At Laing Homes South David had responsibility for theDevelopment Manager role where he was involved in all aspects of Development Planning and Construction. David has gained substantial experience in the public sector working for housing associations when he worked as Senior Development Officer and Group Land Buyer for Northcote, Ealing Family and Catalyst Housing Associations (now part of Peabody).

 

David held a senior position for ten years at S2 Asset Management (the family office for B&S Property) where he gained substantial experience of commercial properties in all sectors of the property industry and assisted the Asset Manager. At Even Group, David was Development Manager and a Director of Even Construct, where he gained substantial experience working with entrepreneurs and learnt to think creatively in the team to buy sites at risk without any residential planning and to successfully obtain full planning permissions.

 

He more recently was the site manager for 3VI International with responsibilities to commercially manage onsite the sub contract trades and build out a gated development of 12 large delightful executive houses in Lancashire.
